Eco fabric range

The eco range of sustainable fabrics is our way of contributing to the global reduction and reuse movement. These polyester and cotton blend fabrics contain part recycled materials with some using up to an incredible 30 plastic bottles a square metre!

How our Eco fabrics are created

To make the fabric for the Eco range, plastic bottles are first separated, cleaned and sorted at a recycling plant. Next, the bottles are shredded and rewashed before being melted down. As it cools, the plastic reforms into pellets, which are melted a second time to create the flowing and durable yarn used to weave into beautiful Russells Eco fabrics.

Used plastic bottles ready to be recycled.
Plastic is chopped, melted and formed in flakes.
Flakes are melted and spun into yarn.
100% recycled yarn is woven into fabric.
