Frequently asked questions

Which Ashburton areas do Russells consultants cover?

Our consultants cover Ashburton and the wider Mid Canterbury region, including surrounding towns and districts. We’ll come to your home with samples and expert advice, making it easy to find the right curtains or blinds for your space.

How long does it take to get curtains or blinds installed in Ashburton?

After your in-home consultation, your curtains and blinds are custom-made to your exact measurements, then fitted by our local Ashburton installation team. Lead times vary by product, so your consultant will give you an accurate timeframe on the day.

What curtains or blinds work best for Ashburton's climate?

Ashburton’s cold winters and warm summers call for versatile window coverings. Thermal-lined curtains can help retain warmth during winter, while shutters and sunscreen blinds provide effective sun and heat control in summer. Your consultant can recommend the right combination for your home.

Are Russells curtains and blinds custom-made?

Yes, every curtain and blind is made to your exact measurements in our own workroom in Nelson, right here in New Zealand. Nothing is off-the-shelf.

Is there any obligation to buy after a consultation?

None at all. The in-home consultation, measure and quote are completely free, and there's no obligation to proceed. You're welcome to take your time deciding.
