Frequently asked questions

Which Tauranga areas do Russells consultants cover?

Our consultants cover Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty, including Mount Maunganui, Pāpāmoa, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Rotorua and surrounding areas. We’ll come to your home with samples and expert advice, wherever you’re based in the region.

How long does it take to get curtains or blinds installed in the Tauranga?

After your in-home consultation, your curtains and blinds are custom-made to your exact measurements, then fitted by our local Tauranga installation team. Lead times vary by product, so your consultant will give you an accurate timeframe on the day.

What curtains or blinds work best for the Tauranga's climate?

For Tauranga’s warm, sunny climate, sunscreen blinds and roller blinds are great options for managing sunlight, glare and indoor heat, while curtains can add warmth and insulation when temperatures cool. Your local consultant can recommend the best combination for your home, windows and lifestyle.

Are Russells curtains and blinds custom-made?

Yes, every curtain and blind is made to your exact measurements in our own workroom in Nelson, right here in New Zealand. Nothing is off-the-shelf.

Is there any obligation to buy after a consultation?

None at all. The in-home consultation, measure and quote are completely free, and there's no obligation to proceed. You're welcome to take your time deciding.
